All my life I grew up in a Christian home,
going to church every Sunday not knowing what was going on. Before I went to
college I got baptized, and then began my freshman year at the University of
Massachusetts, Dartmouth. That was the turning point of my life because I
started to have a passion for God. During my first semester at U. Mass
Dartmouth I met some new Christian friends who started a Christian Fellowship
and Bible Study on campus. There were many college students at our school who
were seeking Jesus in their lives everyday.
Changes began to occur, as I grew
stronger in the faith. The Lord gave me the desire to share my faith with
other college students, and during my last two years I was President of the
Christian Fellowship. We went to different conferences like fall and winter
retreats, and the Impact 2000 Conference. The Impact 2000 conference gave me
the desire to serve God as an Impact Intern/Fellow with Impact Movement.
Since graduating from UMass, I've spent the last year and half serving full
time as an Impact Intern/Fellow in the Baltimore Metro Area with the Impact
Movement. Just as at UMass, there are tremendous numbers of college students
in Baltimore who need to hear the gospel of Jesus. Feb 5th, 2003 I
came on full time with Impact Movement. My Ministry assignment will be
working with the National Team in Orlando as a Field Coach.

My junior
year of college I attended an Impact Conference in Washington, D.C. and my
life has been forever changed. At the conference God’s presence was surreal
and I realized how much God loved me. It was from that point on that I wanted
to share with other s about the love of Jesus Christ. For the rest of my time
in college I did ministry with the Impact Movement on my campus, and when I
graduated I realized that God was calling me to continue to work with
African-American youth. |
