| What is her ministry? |
|
I work to
support Bible Translation in Western DRC, Central Africa Republic and the
Republic of Congo. I oversee the finances for a national Bible translation
organization and I help to recruit missionaries to work in Bible translation,
as well as provide member care for the missionaries that we have on the field. |
| How did
she become a
missionary? |
|
I grew up in
the Washington, DC area with an interest in internationals, and decided to
study international business and French at university. I was exposed to
missionaries in university and felt the Lord’s call to missions a few years
after graduating. I went on a couple week-long missions trips, served for two
years in Haiti as an independent missionary and became a member of Wycliffe. I
have been in Cameroon for a year and will move next year to Bangui, Central
Africa Republic to continue my service. |
| What challenges is
she facing
in her work? |
|
Presently,
my only challenge is recruiting enough people who want to serve in all aspects
of Bible translation, from translating and teaching literacy courses, to
accounting and general administration. |
